At this point in history it's imperative that any band that has a CD out pick at least a couple of songs for release to be played to the public for free. For each new CD that's released the artists/producers/labels should select one or two songs which they consider to be their most accessable “Radio” songs. Once selected these songs should be made available to every conceivable broadcast outlet on the planet, including radio stations and internet web cast sites.

“Brad Sucks is a one-man band who writes, records, mixes and distributes his music from his home in Ottawa, Canada. Dripping with grooves, a vivid lyrical style, and an incredibly catchy pop sensibility, Brad's music has been likened to that of Beck, Moby, Folk Implosion and John Vanderslice. Very professional debut album, he should have more fans.” There's a lot of information on his website. You can listen and download all his music for free there, digital source code geeks and re-mixers will be in heaven…

ArtFRONT Artists Presentations opens its downtown Chattanooga concert series Utilizing the excellent 800 plus capacity concert and performance space upstairs at 412 Market St., which has up until now been used exclusively by Fathom Liquid Arts. ArtFRONT will be sponsoring and promoting concerts, Sunday through Thursday nights by artists from all musical styles, from rock to punk, country, pop, indie and experimental. ArtFRONT will be inviting high quality bands and performers to this excellent venue, looking to bring in up and coming artists who normally would pass by Chattanooga on their tour due to a previous lack of a venue with this large capacity.

The address to contact if You are interested in submitting information or material to us here at ArtFRONT is on the www.ArtFRONT.com homepage. For artists to receive promotion or articles in the main music section (this page,) we ideally need to be able to hear their recordings & see a live performance. We do need more people reporting Concert Reviews from all over the planet. And we'll try to give all “Listening Room” candidates a listen. Send an e-mail and we'll get back ASAP and see what we can work out. If You are interested in performing in the Southeastern U.S. be sure to check out the “venues” link.

Also appearing is The Doll Squad burlesque rock troupe from Atlanta. This special event repeats the successful Bowie Tribute last year at Chattanooga venue The Local, now moved to the 1100 seat Community Theatre located in the loft of Chattanooga’s 3,600 seat Memorial Auditorium. This will be a re-christening of this little known and newly rennovated local music hall and will serve as a coming out party for The Community Theatre in hopes of many more events there in the near future.

QOTSA It's hard to find anyone playing music on this sonic level who can hold it in the road for an entire show, much less reach the plateaus that were heard from time to time that evening. If every song in this concert were played as well as the best ones were, this show would have been heavenly. It would have been TOO good, and those in attendance would have been affected in a way that they may have never gotten over….
